The LAB feat VITAL Powers

Smalltown Society's monthly gathering for songwriters, poets, and artists. The LAB is a space to share, collaborate, and connect with fellow creatives in the community. Each event begins with a performance and interview featuring a special guest artist, and July’s featured artist will be VITAL Powers.

From Wolverhampton to the Bay Area, VITAL Powers blends grime, rap, drill, and dancehall with global energy. A former BBC presenter and mentor, he’s performed on 200+ stages—including BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend—alongside artists like Stormzy, Skepta, and J Hus. His 2016 release POWERS hit the iTunes Hip Hop Top 20, followed by multiple sold-out shows and international tours. With over 2 million YouTube views and recent drops like RadioActive and Main Character Energy, VITAL continues to bring bold, high-impact performances to every stage.

Afterward, participants can take the stage in an open-mic format to share new or in-progress pieces with our artist community.

The LAB starts at 7:30 and is invite-only. To inquire about an invitation and get more information, contact us at info@smalltownsociety.com.

All members are invited, and can also watch a livestream of the LAB in our members-only video channel on Discord.
